Giving Options

KCF is Kirkland’s partner in philanthropy: donors want to give back to the community, we offer flexible ways to convert ideas into action and outcomes.

Catalyst Operating Fund

General funding, including salaries, rent, technology, etc., enables KCF to effectively represent the community and to tap into philanthropy to address Kirkland’s needs. KCF works alongside Kirkland nonprofits, the city of Kirkland, and other partners to identify opportunities to improve the community, and to direct resources that make those improvements a reality. Funding for our operations is leveraged to generate resources to work for the entire Kirkland community.

Donor-Advised Funds

A donor-advised fund, or DAF, is a giving account established at a public charity. It allows donors to make a charitable contribution, receive an immediate tax deduction and then recommend grants from the fund over time.  Donors can contribute to the fund as frequently as they like, and then recommend grants to their favorite charitable organizations whenever it makes sense for them.
